Christine McDannell, much like her character answering the phone, displays cheerfulness and positivity in the most dreary of situations. She follows true motivation that has helped her climb the ranks in high quality cleaning personnel services in San Diego County. "Satisfaction guaranteed" is not only a statement when it comes to her. As threatening as the situation may be, she is quick to communicate and portrays a sense of understanding, leaving clients feeling reassured.
An A-B student in high school, Christine never officially went to college to get a degree. Her experiences in college only ranged from two semester classes she took during high school. Even with full financial support towards getting a degree, she chose to make it on her own. At 23, she went from bank to bank for a loan to make the company she dreamed of, but no investment resulted. By working with two employees for a year and a half, cleaning supplies in her hands and a phone on her hip due to her realtor job, she obtained thirty five thousand dollars to buy her company. Today, her company stands strong with the passing of its 6 year anniversary last December.
Questions:
1. Should I write more information?
2. What other things do you want to know?
3. What questions do you have when you read this? (Holes in the writing)
4. What sort of Q&A do you expect from the interview from this intro?
Maybe make this a little bit longer. I like the information that you have a lot, but maybe mention a bit more about WHY she chose not to go to college. We understand that she wanted to open her own company, but why didn't she decide to go to business school instead? How long did it take her to open her business in years? Is she still a Realtor? Also, talk about what the business itself looks like. Otherwise, I really like the information you have, I like it a lot!

ReplyDeleteThe adjectives you used were helpful in depicting a background of your mentor. Your description gave a better understanding of the company you worked for as well. I think you had a lot to work with since your mentor was her own manager for a company she started.
ReplyDeleteLike Madison, I also think you should include why she wanted to start her own company.
From your intro, I understood that Cleanology is her second attempt at making a business.
"...due to her realtor job..." are you saying she was previously a realtor? Or do you mean her position is a realtor? Can this be also be seen as an entrepreneur since she started her own company?
I expect to see what struggles or difficulties she went through by not obtaining a degree and when she had to start her dream company from scratch. Also, how did working with other employees benefit her?
